Snow nails
First of all: merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are having a great time.
Over the past few weeks I have seen so many snow-themed nail arts! There were freehanded snowflakes, snow stickers, dotting tool snow, matte snowflakes, sparkly snowflakes... Anyway, here's my take on the snowflake!

Drinking glass inspired manicure
Hello polish lovers! I hope you're all doing well. For the first time ever (I guess?) I did a manicure that was inspired by something in my direct environment. I have two awesome drinking glasses from Blokker with this neon dotted gradient that I thought would be very cool to recreate on my nails. And so I did! I hope you like them.

The Sparkle Queen's annual Holiday Blog Hop
Hi guys, I have a fun tip for you today! Alessandra, a.k.a. The Sparkle Queen, is hosting a lovely holiday blog hop. I already added a link, can you find it? :)
If you want to add your nail art as well, it should be from this year and relevant to the holiday season theme.
This is where my post ends and the blog hop begins...

Quick tip for INM Out The Door users
Hello ladies and gentlemen! In my opinion every solution to an annoying problem is worth sharing. So that's why I have a quick tip for you today. If you use INM Out The Door, like I currently do, then it might frustrate you how it is impossible to see how much top coat you've got left in your bottle:

Swatch: Rimmel Coralicious
Hi there everyone! I hope my Dutch readers had a great Sinterklaas. Today I have some swatch photo's for Rimmel Coralicious. As for image quality, these are not the best photo's (none of my photo's are since I use a mobile phone), but the colour of this nail polish is captured very well, believe me. If you have a MacBook pro 13" retina like I do, what you see is what you get if you decide to buy this lovely bright nail polish!

Painting my friends' fingernails
Hello everyone! Today is a special day because I'm not going to show you my own nails, but my friends'! On a lovely Sunday afternoon I did some manicures for four friends. It is so much fun to do other people's nails but it is also such a challenge! Everything is different, shape, length, the angle you're painting in... Anyway, let's have a look at my friends' fingernails!

Review: Born Pretty Store 'Britsh retro' water decals
Hello there everyone! A friendly guy from Born Pretty Store send me an e-mail and offered me to choose something from the hot specials page. I cannot begin to explain how excited I was. I think BPS gives out free samples to about 80 percent of the blogs I read but hey, I still felt pretty special!
I chose these 'British Retro Style Chair Flower Design Print Nail Art Water Decals' (what a name) in the style 'BOP/163'.

Velvet Skittlette (and mini review)
A while ago I showed you the nail stuff that I bought in October. Among them was a 'velvet effect' set. Although the accent on my pinky is not very obvious, this is a skittlette that I did using W7 Metallic jupiter and the So me velvet effect set. In this post I will show you some pictures of my manicure and I will also shortly review the set.

The Monthly Man-icure: October
"The monthly man-icure?", I can hear you think, "what is that?". Well, it's L'Ongleterre's latest item, and my plan is to make it a recurring one!
This item is a twist on the classic 'My boyfriend chose my nail polish'. For 'The Monthly Man-icure', Sebastian, my lovely boyfriend, will pick out one to three nail polishes and I have to create a manicure with those.
After snooping around my stash he proudly presented me these polishes:
Thanks to the bf for hand modeling |
These are OPI -You only live twice and Catrice - Heavy Metallilac. If you want to know how I used these two for my manicure, read on...

Hello dearest polish lovers! It's time for some simple freehand nail art with a pictorial. The pictorial might be unnecessary because I think it's pretty obvious how this manicure was created. But hey, I took pictures between my steps so why not add them? :) Enjoy!

Nail Polish Obsession Tag
I realized I never did a tag before and felt like it was about time to do so! So here it is: the Nail Polish Obsession Tag. I saw this one on a couple of blogs, posts varying between 2012 and 2014, and I have no idea who started it... Anyway, here are my answers, accompanied by a lot of pictures!
1. What's your favorite nail polish company?
Just the first question and it's already so hard! When I look at my stash I have to admit that I really like budget-friendly companies Catrice and Essence (both owned by Cosnova). As for the quality of their nail polishes, Barry M has not let me down so far (I own four Barry M's). I really love my OPI's as well but I never actually bought one myself... I got all of them as gifts, and all but one were given to me by my boyfriend or won by him in a radio competition.
My favourite OPI: Jinx |

Swatch: Ciaté Funhouse + blogging again?
Dear followers, I am amazed and thankful that you still follow me! I cannot believe it has been so long since I last wrote a blogpost. After my camera was stolen last summer I never got a new one. But I am using my dad's old phone now (a Samsung galaxy S) and to my surprise it takes pretty good pictures, way better than my own phone, and definitely okay enough to use for blogging!
I'm thinking about becoming more active on Ongleterre again and this is the first post of what might be a fresh start! :) About half a year ago I even bought my own domain: www.ongleterre.com!
But of course it's nail polish that we're all about around here, so here it is... swatch photo's of Ciaté Funhouse!
